I am the Office Services Manager and have responsibility for Facilities Management, Reception, Catering and Mailroom Services. I have been involved in Chaucer’s CSR activity for 6 years.
My role is to arrange for someone to organise the fund raising events diarised throughout the year, some of which I organise or participate in, such as Breakfast Clubs, Sweets and Cake Sales and Bake-Off, Raffles etc.I had an amazing experience being part of the Chaucer Team Rafiki who went to the Naserian Children's Home in Kenya in March 2015 and helped build a dining facility for the children’s home and taught at the local school. I was involved in buying clothes and equipment to take with us, and produced the risk assessment and overseas travel policy for that and future trips.
I have worked for Chaucer since 2008, I currently work as an Deputy Class Underwriter in the Financial Institutions division. I’ve been involved with the CSR committee (now Chaucer Foundation committee) since 2010.
My main areas of responsibility within the Foundation Committee are International Volunteering and Internal Competitions. My responsibilities for international volunteering are focused on engaging staff with projects overseas and organising an annual volunteering trip for staff. Additionally I am also responsible for the annual internal photography competition and the bi-annual Great Chaucer Bake Off.
I work as the Head of Underwriting Risk Review at Chaucer Syndicates and am one of the Directors of the Chaucer Foundation. I have worked at Chaucer for over 10 years and have been involved with CSR activities for most of that time.
My greatest personal achievement was rowing the English Channel in 2010 to raise money for charity.
I am specifically interested in encouraging more of my colleagues to become involved with good causes.
I have been with for Chaucer for many years and currently work in Operations as an Operations Improvement Analyst. Since 2006 I have been involved in a CSR role and subsequently the Chaucer Foundation. Over the years I have organized various team Employee Volunteer days for staff working with City farms, parks and foodbanks and also have ran staff sponsorship events, and predictor games for major sporting events.
Personally, I have volunteered on many occasions fully utilizing my staff Foundation days and have with, Chaucer sponsorship, completed the 3 Peaks Challenge in 2012 and won with a Chaucer team on two occasions, the COINS industry Dragon Boat Events.
My main role with the Foundation is to assist in organizing Team Volunteer days but can be contacted on any query concerning Foundation matters.
I work as Marketing & Communications Co-ordinator at Chaucer.
My role is to carry out marketing activities for the Chaucer Foundation, which includes communicating with stakeholders using our internal and external channels, and promoting our events and achievements. I also helped set up the Chaucer Foundation website and organised Charity Week at work, which was a week of fundraising events for staff, to help raise money for charity.
I enjoy my role and look forward to many more opportunities to get involved in our Chaucer Foundation activities and help make a real difference to those in need.
I joined Chaucer in September 2014 and soon after became a member of the Chaucer Foundation. My main area of responsibility on the committee is to research, put forward and get updates of new charitable partnerships or projects that the Foundation could support.
Whilst I am new to the Foundation, I have been involved with youth community projects in London for the last 4 years. I look forward to being able to work with the Foundation, to make a visible difference to communities in our local area.
I joined Chaucer in June 2016, I currently work as an Underwriting Assistant in the Energy Division. I have been involved with the CSR committee since September 2016.
At my previous company, I organised charitable days out, this involved raising funds to paint and revamp schools in the local area. I volunteer at my local church on Sundays, I teach the adolescents how to play football and cricket. My main area of focus on the CSR committee is to raise awareness about volunteering days and inspire staff to take part.
Having worked in credit and political risk insurance for over 20 years, I joined Chaucer in 2016 and joined the Chaucer Foundation committee in early 2017.
I have been closely involved in volunteering events and fundraising for charities, working with disabled children in the Surrey area for many years and in a local Special School one day a week for the past two years. At Chaucer, I am keen to expand this role and to raise awareness and engagement of staff, particularly on the Underwriting side of the business, with the aim of getting more people actively involved in volunteering activities and supporting charities via the most effective and inspiring route.
I joined Chaucer in September 2016 and currently work as the Chaucer Foundation Administrator.
My role is to manage all charity donation requests sent to the Foundation and promote and assist in our events and volunteering days. I have previously volunteered with age groups ranging from young children to the elderly and am keen in encouraging colleagues to actively take part in volunteering.
I enjoy my varied role as it brings forward a number of opportunities and allows me to make a positive difference to those in need
